Books for Children About Voting and Voting Rights

This election is one of the most important-if not, the most important- election of our lifetime. But we don’t know what’s in store for our children in future elections. It’s important we talk to them at any age about the importance of casting their vote and having their voices heard. Some of our parents and grandparents were banned from voting due to their gender, race, the color of their skin, or spoken language, and we continue to see voter suppression today! Our children should know the meaning and the struggle of people who advocated for their rights to vote because it hasn’t been that long since voting was accessible to “all.”
