Our friend @b_the_booty_builder
will be hosting a workout class as a fundraiser for our organization!
⭐️ Fun fact, Blanca, the founder of this amazing workout FEMMEpire, is also an educator and was our colleague at an elementary school in the pico/union area! ⭐️
On March 20th at 10:30AM for only $5 you can join us via zoom for a great workout, moment of self-care, and best of all its kid friendly! All proceeds will be a donation to supporting our continuous efforts to distribute backpacks filled with books and school supplies to kids in under-resourced communities throughout LA!

Birthday Celebration!
🎂 🎉 March is Our Birthday Month 🎉 🎂
Can you believe that ETL is turning one this month? We are so honored and proud to say that we have met some incredible people, built a community of supporters, and served several communities throughout the Los Angeles Area!
In 12 months we:
⭐️ Donated about 1500 backpacks with books, school supplies, and PPE
⭐️ Distributed almost 4000 books to children in under-resourced communities, grades PreK-12th
⭐️ Held distribution events in 6 communities across LA (Hawthorne, Leimert Park, Pico/Union, Baldwin Hills/Crenshaw, Long Beach, and Crenshaw/Hyde Park)
⭐️ Donated books and supplies for special events in high-needs schools in Los Angeles
⭐️ Created digital resources accessible to all
⭐️ Collaborated with some AMAZING orgs in supporting our communities
⭐️ Had some wonderful volunteers continuously support or efforts
The work doesn’t end here. We have BIG goals and know that we will continue to empower families through literacy!
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
For the entire month of March, we will be having our $12 fundraising campaign!
For every $12 we can get two backpacks filled with high-quality books and essential school supplies to help them with their continued learning at home (or to get ready for possible school re-openings)!
This fundraiser will help support our upcoming distribution in the East LA/Boyle Heights area in April!

Giving Books and Backpacks Distribution
We will be distributing 300 backpacks filled with books and school supplies for children in grades Prek-5th. This is a drive through event, please wear a mask.
Giving Tuesday
Generosity gives everyone the power to make a positive change in the lives of others and is a fundamental value anyone can act on.
Thankful Thursday Series Distribution
We will be distributing 300 backpacks with age-appropriate books and school supplies for students in grades Prek-12. This event is a collaboration between the Office of Supervisor Ridley and Bethany Baptist Church of Los Angeles, who will be distributing grocery bags with one week’s worth of grocery items!
